As a replacement to the original 1923 grandstand this first phase facility includes 5,000+ ADA compliant spectator seating, 16 private suites with 21 seats each, full press box for radio, TV and a coaches as well as a full roof deck observation area. 

 

The concourse includes concessions, souvenir areas, first aid and rest room facilities. The “under concourse” includes alumni reception / press room and is master planned to accommodate locker rooms, training rooms, weight room, sports medicine clinic laundry facilities and field maintenance support areas.

 

Unique constraints included fitting the new facility between the existing field with running track and the adjacent street to the west with all demolition and construction to be done with-in a 10-month schedule.
